Vans, Snapchat and Ogilvy Social.Lab join forces to create an augmented reality experience to launch Vans’ Sk8-Hi MTE 2.0
Brussels, the 27th of November 2020 - Vans, the original action sports brand has partnered with Snapchat and Ogilvy Social.Lab to launch an Augmented Reality Snapchat Lens that allows you to virtually try on the Sk8-Hi MTE 2.0 collection. The campaign launches today in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the UK and the Netherlands.
Vans will feature the shoes in one Lens, which showcases two different styles. The Lens uses Snapchat’s Shoppable AR tech and Snapchatters can purchase shoes directly from the Lens via a “Shop Now” button.
2020 has changed the way people consume and interact with products. Through this campaign, Vans is continuing to connect and promote creative expression in youth culture, while also providing a true AR ecommerce experience.
