Philips & Ogilvy Social.Lab win recognition for in-house performance marketing at the Effie Awards Europe
Brussels, October 16th, 2019 – Last night, the Philips Real Time Marketing Center (RTMC) and Ogilvy Social.Lab took home an Effie in a new category ‘Marketing & Business Solutions’. It’s the first time that an in-house social performance team has been recognised for its innovation in performance marketing by the Effie.
The Effie Awards Europe are an annual award ceremony rewarding the most effective marketing communications campaigns in Europe. This year, for the first time, the award ceremony extended the recognition to ‘Marketing & Business Solutions’; Philips and Ogilvy Social.Lab were acknowledged for their development of a unique in-house marketing solution that has resulted in remarkable business results.
In-house marketing has been an emerging trend in modern marketing, and it is notable that the Effie Committee has decided to acknowledge and recognise the efforts of Philips and Ogilvy Social.Lab in innovating this arena.
The Philips RTMC is a unique in-house performance team that has been built together with Ogilvy Social lab. It is 100% dedicated to Philips and the embedded Ogilvy Social Lab staff partner on-site with the Philips team, including Brand leads, at Philips HQ in Amsterdam. With media strategy, content development, campaign management all organised into integrated campaign delivery squads, the Philips RTMC is able to respond to changing campaign performance through real-time optimisations of creative, strategy and media spend.
The Philips RTMC has also led innovation, developing its own unique benchmarks for tracking engagement, multi-channel campaign insight dashboards, as well as expansion across the entire digital eco-system. Ogilvy Social Lab has been instrumental in the development and training of the social and digital staff that have been deployed in the RTMC. This team has proved to be more effective than local in-market agencies.
This fact that this is the first time that the Effies has recognised an in-house innovation is a sure sign of change in the marketing landscape.
