The WPP & Partners consortium, led by Ogilvy Social.Lab, launches the European Union's 2026 Voices of Humanity campaign
Brussels – August 19, 2026
On World Humanitarian Day, the European Union unveils the 2026 edition of Voices of Humanity, a campaign developed by the WPP & Partners consortium, led by Ogilvy Social.Lab, on behalf of the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO).
Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, the campaign brings European audiences closer to the realities of EU-funded humanitarian action through the stories of frontline humanitarian workers in Syria, Haiti and a Congolese refugee settlement in Burundi. By following the people delivering life-saving assistance in some of the world's most challenging environments, Voices of Humanity shines a light on the courage, expertise and commitment that underpin humanitarian action every day.
At a time when more than 252 million people worldwide require humanitarian assistance,Voices of Humanity aims to make humanitarian action more visible and better understood by putting the people behind the response at the heart of the story.
Bringing together complementary expertise across strategy, creative development, production, communications and audience insight, the WPP & Partners consortium combines the capabilities of Ogilvy Social.Lab, WPP Production, 27 Kilometer Entertainment and Verian.
As lead agency for the consortium, Ogilvy Social.Lab led the overall campaign strategy and coordinated the pan-European communications rollout, including social media, influencer engagement, PR and strategic media partnerships. WPP Production led the creative development and production of the campaign, with documentary production by 27 Kilometer Entertainment, while Verian provided audience insight, campaign testing and evaluation.
Running from mid-August until early December 2026, the campaign will be activated across 13 EU Member States through documentary storytelling, social media, digital communications, earned media and strategic partnerships.
The campaign showcases the strength of WPP in delivering integrated, multi-market communication campaigns that combine strategic thinking, creative excellence and coordinated execution at European scale.
